The Defender Badge
“United as individuals, United as billions.
We all play together.”
A defender in soccer is a lot like a public safety officer on the job. In soccer, defenders do everything they humanly can to make certain the ball does not get past them. In their line of work, public safety officers do everything they can to make sure the danger does not get past them. Ultimately, a defender’s main job is to shield.
Key skills help both kinds of defenders in this task – things like maintaining your position on the field, anticipating where the action will be and what opponents are going to do in different situations. Defenders should also be great leaders. The better your communication skills, the stronger a defender you will be, the stronger your team will be, and the stronger your department will be. #WeAre26
